I pride myself on being able to utilise all of my skills to deliver a well rounded programme incorporating my expertise in both injury treatment and exercise principles. I am constantly updating my knowledge to give you the most effective and up to date information.
I have a keen interest in sports myself having competed in swimming, running and indoor rowing. I am always willing to try new sports myself and can often been found training in the gym. So, rest assured everything I prescribe you is tried and tested on myself!
I am a degree qualified sports rehabilitation specialist, having trained at University of Surrey, London.
Over the past 7 years I have successfully developed and grown sports massage and injury rehabilitation businesses at top health clubs in both London and Abu Dhabi.
I have worked with a variety of clients from fitness enthusiasts through to professional athletes and even people learning to walk and run again after injury. Most recently I have worked with competitors who have gone on to be successful in squash, netball, tennis and road running.
How often should I have one?
Regular exercisers/competitors should all have a frequent massage to maintain your muscles in the best condition possible, which will of course contribute to injury free training. Investing in ongoing sports massages allows you to recover quickly, move more efficiently and perform to your true potential.
Injury Rehabilitation
With a degree and strong background in musculoskeletal injuries and anatomy, I can also offer an exercise programme and advice of what to do at home to guide you through injury back to recovery and full fitness. Or, alternatively just help you to rid of those chronic aches and pains.
What is sports massage?
Sports massage is a deep tissue massage, which focuses on problem areas to relieve trigger points and tension within the muscles. It varies from other types of massage by being much more specific and working deeper into the muscles to pinpoint and relieve the problem (yes, this means it may be uncomfortable at times!).
